2026 Volunteer Opportunity: Round Rock Area Serving Center Move In
The Opportunity
Exciting News! The Round Rock Area Serving Center received the Certificate of Occupancy and the keys to the new building just before the Christmas holiday.
We have started moving into our new space. We will need and welcome all of the help we can get for moving in. This will include unloading and setting up fixtures, moving furniture, and moving store merchandise into the new building. After the store move has been completed, we will set up shelving and move the food pantry into the old furniture store space. Below is a timeline.
- Move-In Timeline:
- Starting on Monday, 1/5/2026, setting up fixtures and shelving, as well as moving furniture/desks into the new building, will continue through 1/16/2026.
- Saturday, 1/17/2026~ the stores close at 2pm, and we’ll start moving the merchandise from the stores to the new building that afternoon.
- Sunday, 1/18/2026~ continue moving the merchandise and setting up the new stores from 9am to 6pm; come and go.
- Monday, 1/19/2026~ Martin Luther King, Jr holiday and the Serving center will be closed. We will continue to set up the stores from 9 am to 6pm.
