Starbucks is offering FREE COFFEE to all first responders and healthcare workers at all it’s stores across the nation until May 3, 2020.
The company said any customer who identifies themselves as a first responder or worker supporting the healthcare system will receive a free tall brewed coffee. Those who are eligible include police officers, firefighters, paramedics, doctors, nurses, hospital and medical staff and medical researchers.
These are the details from a statement from Starbucks:
- Starting today through May 3, any customer who identifies as a front-line responder to the COVID-19 outbreak will receive a tall brewed coffee (hot or iced) at no charge.
- The Starbucks Foundation will donate $500,000 to support U.S. front-line responders with equal donations to Direct Relief to support the delivery of personal protective equipment and essential medical items and to Operation Gratitude to deliver 50,000 care packages and handwritten letters to first responders and health care workers.
- Starbucks said it will also be paying all employees for 30 days, whether they come into work or not, as well as continuing to offer mental health and sick pay benefits.
