TxDOT to open RM 620 overpass to eastbound traffic Jan. 6

The Texas Department of Transportation will open the newly constructed RM 620 overpass to eastbound traffic at 5 a.m. Friday, Jan. 6.

All eastbound traffic will use the overpass beginning at Briarwood Street to travel directly to the I-35 intersection. Chisholm Trail will be accessible via the eastbound frontage road.

The overpass will open to westbound traffic in the coming weeks, weather permitting.

The overpass is a part of the RM 620 roundabout project which aims to improve safety and enhance mobility in the project area. Project highlights include the construction of two overpasses, a roundabout, U-turns, frontage roads, and widened lanes.

The project is slated for completion in late 2023.
