Instagram Summer Challenge: Week 5
Happy Post-Holiday weekend! There was a lot to do in Round Rock this past week! What did we do for the 5th week with the Instagram Summer Challenge?
We did some more fun things from the list this week – wanted to show you some of the fun we had to encourage you to join us on the Challenge – there really is so much going on at any given time in our great city. The Challenge is made to help you get out and appreciate all there is!
Here is what we did this week:
13. Watch the 4th of July Parade in Downtown Round Rock: I just love our hometown parade – so much to see with over 100 participants. We cam home with a new appreciation of all things Round Rock (and a giant bag of candy!).
22. Enjoy Frontier Days at Old Settlers Park: It may have been hot, but between the rides, the Swifty Swine Pig Races, and the Sam Bass Shootout, we had a ball!
5. Attend a Round Rock Express Baseball Game: It was a sold-out crowd on Friday night, and the highest attended 4th of July game yet. The fireworks were amazing – we had a blast! And Spike made it a special night for my youngest, as he fell while running the bases, Spike picked him up and ran to home with him!
18. Attend a Round Rock Market Days: The new location for the RRMDs is perfect – there were lots of booths to shop at. I imagine as the months get cooler, the Market will get more and more busy!
