Williamson County’s 24-Hour Giving Event Aims to Expand Reach to Hyperlocal Organizations to Drive Community Impact
AUSTIN, TEXAS (Dec. 4, 2024) – I Live Here I Give Here is proud to announce that Amplify Wilco Day — the hyperlocal campaign that complements Amplify Austin Day — will return on March 5-6, 2025. It’s now seeking nonprofits, sponsors and businesses to join the movement. Following Amplify Wilco Day’s inaugural event in 2024, which raised $1 million for 72 Williamson County nonprofits, it’s gearing up to make a more significant impact in 2025.
“The Williamson County community is bursting with impactful nonprofits, supportive companies and generous donors,” says Piper Stege Nelson, executive director of I Live Here I Give Here. “We loved what we saw in 2024 and really look forward to seeing even greater success in 2025!”
Nonprofits: Join the Movement
Amplify Wilco Day offers a unique platform for nonprofits serving Williamson County to amplify their missions and connect with generous local donors. Eligible organizations must be registered 501(c)(3) nonprofits and serve the Central Texas area. Nonprofits can now register for free at AmplifyATX.org. The deadline to sign up is Jan. 16, 2025.
Business Fundraisers: Compete to Make a Difference
Amplify Wilco Day invites local businesses and corporate offices to take part as Business Fundraisers, empowering employees to support participating nonprofits. Businesses can compete for the title of “Most Generous Company in Central Texas” and build team morale, while making a tangible impact in the community. Registration is free and open at AmplifyATX.org until Feb. 26, 2025. Austin-based Cirrus Logic has claimed the “Most Generous” title for six consecutive years — could your company take the crown in 2025?
Sponsorship Opportunities: Strengthen Wilco’s Impact
Sponsors play a crucial role in ensuring Amplify Wilco Day’s success. Sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses, community groups, foundations and individuals. Support options include covering the overhead costs of producing Amplify Wilco Day and Amplify Austin Day and contributing to the Amplify Fund, which provides direct financial support to all participating nonprofits. Sponsorships are designed to accommodate various budgets and interests, ensuring every sponsor can make an impact.
Williamson County, though often viewed as a part of Austin, is its own unique community that deserves its own recognition, which inspired I Live Here I Give Here to launch Amplify Wilco Day in 2024. I Live Here I Give Here envisions a Central Texas where every community member is engaged in giving. It’s on a mission to amplify community impact through cultivating and creating deeper connections between givers and the issues they care about. Since 2007, I Live Here I Give Here has activated more than 200,000 Central Texans to help raise $112.7 million for 1,507 local nonprofits.
