Describe your mission and work focused on local learners.
The Round Rock ISD Partners in Education Foundation develops and allocates resources to the Round Rock Independent School District to enrich, enhance, and maximize the quality of education for all students. We encourage academic excellence in the Round Rock Independent School District schools by providing funds for innovative academic programs, acknowledging and rewarding exemplary teaching, providing an avenue for business and community members to enhance the education process, promoting public awareness, and celebrating successful programs and the achievement of excellence.

What is your favorite part about the work your organization does?
We love seeing the direct impact our support has on students and staff. Every August, we surprise our Excellence in Education Grant winners with checks. We get to see their excitement and gratefulness first-hand.

What is one challenge your organization faces?
Reaching our community members and businesses to tell them of the good work we do. We want to expand our visibility!

How does your organization prepare to kick off the school year?
To kick off each school year, we host an Annual School Supplies Project. This is an opportunity for local businesses, organizations, and community members to help provide basic school supplies to Round Rock ISD students in need and Early Career teachers to ensure they have the proper tools at the beginning of and throughout the entire school year. Community members are able to give monetary donations or in-kind donations as part of this initiative. Our big finale is the Back2School Celebration! In partnership with RRISD Partners in Education Foundation, Round Rock ISD will host over 8,000 students and families in our community to learn about District programs and resources, enjoy games and activities, and have the opportunity to receive vaccinations from Presenting Sponsor, Texas Children’s Hospital.

How can Round Rock (and the surrounding areas) support your organization?
A donation of money, time, talent, and/or treasure supporting many of our initiatives. The Education Heroes Giving Campaign is a year-round, community-wide giving circle focused on raising vital funds for Round Rock ISD. Your donation will fund Foundation initiatives and programs that support Round Rock ISD students, teachers, and staff. We also offer many sponsorship and volunteer opportunities for events and programs. See how you can get involved!
