More than 150 Williamson County residents are needed to serve as volunteers on the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday on January 21, 2019. This annual volunteer event will take place from 9:00 am to noon at locations in Georgetown, Hutto, Leander, Round Rock and Taylor.

As a volunteer, you can assist with a variety of projects throughout the county, joining hundreds of thousands of Americans across the country in volunteer service on this holiday.

Martin Luther King Day projects include cleaning and restoring trails, sorting donations, painting and light construction, and more. Individuals, families, youth, employee teams or community organizations may volunteer at projects located in Georgetown, Leander, Round Rock and Taylor. Please check individual projects for age requirements.

The annual event honors Dr. King’s legacy and is an opportunity for Americans to renew their own personal vows of citizenship through service to others.

The MLK Day of Service is a part of United We Serve, the President’s national call to service initiative. It calls for Americans from all walks of life to work together to provide solutions to our most pressing national problems.
