The Cedar Ridge High School Raider Paint Run is an un-timed run/walk with colored powder zones and a fun finish purple & black paint celebration starting at 9am at the Old Settlers Park Rabb Pavilion.  All participants will start with their white Raider Paint Run shirt and finish plastered in colored powder.  The 3 mile or 1.5 run is more about having fun than running fast, so grab your friends and family and join in the fun.

All proceeds from the Raider Paint Run will benefit the Cedar Ridge High School Project Graduation and the graduating seniors.  Project Graduation is an all-night lock-in party held the night of graduation, so seniors have a fun, safe, drug and alcohol free environment for the graduating senior’s last social event together as a class.

Event details and schedule

Long Course – 3 miles – 2 loops of the Short Course

The un-timed course starts near the Rabb Pavilion and goes around the trail loop twice, passing through at least 2 paint zones, and finishing near the pavilion for the finish celebration.  This is not a race so go at your pace and enjoy the course.

Short Course – 1.5 miles

The un-timed course starts near the Rabb Pavilion and goes around the trail loop once, passing through at least 2 paint zones, and finishing near the pavilion for the finish celebration.  This is not a race so go at your pace and enjoy the course.

Paint Zones

Each paint zone will have volunteers who will throw non-toxic colored powder. The volunteers will do their best to throw the powder at your torso, but wind and other factors can cause the powder to get on your face.  Wearing goggles, sunglasses, and other eye wear have been worn at other runs that have flying colored powder.  The paint zones can be bypassed completely.

Finish Celebration

At the end of the run each finisher will receive a bag of powder for the color celebration.  The finish celebration will occur every 10-15 minutes or as the crowd gets bigger.  The announcer will help coordinate the celebration by counting down from 10 to 0 and the colored powder will fly!

Refreshments

There will be snacks, water, and Gatorade at the finish.
