Rockin’ Kids Celebrate National Robotics Week | April 4, 2016

The Round Rock Public Library is hosting a special event to Celebrate National Robotics Week on April 4, 2016 from 4:30 pm5:15 pm.  Kids will meet a robot and tackle robotic projects.  This event is free.

LEGO blocksThis month’s Rockin’ Kids: LEGO week also happens to be National Robotics Week! We’re thrilled to welcome a robot the our session, and to include a few optional robot-themed challenges for this month’s LEGO free-build session.

Nao is visiting us from Anmol Technologies. Elementary students can take breaks from LEGO construction to meet and enjoy casual interactions with NAO and his operators throughout our program. NAO is a robot designed  to assist in classrooms supporting special education.

The Library hosts activities for elementary students Monday afternoons at 4:30 p.m. The regular rotation of activities is:

  • 1st Monday: LEGO Free-Build
  • 2nd Monday: Art Club
  • 3rd Monday: Science Club
  • 4th Monday: Game On!
  • 5th Monday: Book & Craft

Guidelines:

  1. Please arrive on time.
  2. Younger children may require parental assistance.
  3. You do not need to pre-register to attend these programs unless you are bringing six or more children.
