Ribbon Cutting for Rock’N River Water Park Phase 3 Expansion
ROUND ROCK, Texas – The City of Round Rock will host a ribbon-cutting for the Rock’N River Phase 3 Expansion Project at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 22, for the newest addition to Rock’N River Water Park.
Mayor Morgan and members of the Round Rock City Council are expected to attend. The event will celebrate the opening of the new addition to Rock’N River Water Park.
The project includes a 775-foot action river with two wave features: a typhoon wave generator and a barrel roll wave generator. The expansion also includes private cabanas with a 2,000-square-foot private pool, shade structures, and additional parking. The improvements increase the waterpark’s capacity from 1,601 to 2,401 guests, allowing more families to enjoy Rock’N River during the busy summer season.
The Round Rock Parks and Recreation development team helped lead the project, with SpawGlass serving as the contractor and Kimley-Horn and Associates serving as the design team. The expansion is also designed to connect Rock’N River Water Park with the future Athletic Performance Center, providing additional member amenities for the center.
Rock’N River Water Park is one of Round Rock’s popular summer destinations, offering aquatic features, slides, and family-friendly recreation at Old Settlers Park. Click here for more details and ticket information.
The Phase 3 expansion is part of the 2023 voter-approved bond package and continues the City’s investment in parks and recreation amenities that support residents, families, and quality of life.
