Sam Bass Theatre is hosting their 1st Annual Season Announcement Gala “Putting On The Ritz” Saturday April 28, 2018 at the Marriott Round Rock.


The Board of Directors and Membership of Sam Bass Theatre invite one and all to attend their first annual season announcement gala where they will reveal the plays selected for the 45th Anniversary Season. The evening will consist of a gourmet dinner prepared by Marriott Chefs, a Cash Bar, and entertainment from the best of the Round Rock and Central Texas Performing Artists.  Throughout the evening Artistic Director Olin Meadows and President Cari Ancelet will unveil the 45th Season of theater at Sam Bass, as well as announce the new education wing of Sam Bass Theatre to be lead by Education Director Christopher Lee Herod.  To add more fun and excitement to the festivities there will be dancing and a live band playing the best of jazz and big band hits, while people enjoy the entertainment they will be able to peruse and bid on silent auction items to benefit Sam Bass Theatre’s building and development program. 

“This event will be one you don’t want to miss” says Artistic Director Olin Meadows, “There will be so many surprises throughout the night, I am so excited for the new programs, and the excited growth that Sam Bass Theatre has seen over the past year!”  Sam Bass Theatre will be celebrating its 45th season in September of 2018, making Sam Bass Theatre the oldest theatre in Williamson County and in Round Rock, Texas, to celebrate this monumental achievement the Board and Membership of Sam Bass Theatre wanted to make the occasion by creating this new annual event to showcase the artistry of Sam Bass. President Cari Ancelet says “As Sam Bass Community Theatre continues to grow, we are excited to host our inaugural season announcement gala. Join us as well celebrate our community partnerships and announce our exciting new season. I am so proud of the plans we have going forward! Our 45th year will be the best year yet!”

Tickets for the event range from $50 – $75, and tables of 10 are being sold for $650, all tickets include entry to the event and dinner with some ticket options including drink tickets and VIP seating. All proceeds from the night will benefit Sam Bass Theatre’s Building and Growth Programs. In addition to the funds raised from ticket sales there will be silent auction items from various artists and businesses in the Central Texas Area that support Sam Bass Theatre and the growth and development of the Arts in Central Texas.  Tickets can be purchased online at www.sambasstheatre.org
