Thankful to Live in Round Rock ~ Day 2: Round Rock Market Days
We are so very blessed to live in such a great city – Round Rock is unique in that it’s big enough to have everything that we need, but still has that small town feel. Many of you know, I started Round the Rock because I wanted everyone to know and take advantage of all the fun things there are to do here in the Rock. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I thought it would be fun to reflect on 30 things that make me Thankful to live in Round Rock.
30 Reasons why I’m Thankful to live in Round Rock
Day #2: Round Rock Market Days
The first Saturday of each month, downtown Round Rock opens Main Street to local vendors. In an effort to create a “community market”, local businesses are invited each month to sell their wares.
Everyday items such as produce and handmade soaps to unique, one-of-a-kind gifts are available each month. The Market is open all day (9am-4pm) and features live music and food as well.
And each month, Round Rock Market Days supports a local charity, asking for donations – such as this month, they are helping the Round Rock Police Department’s Blue Santa program by asking for new, unwrapped toys.
For those of us who love shopping, it’s a great excuse to spend a few hours supporting our local businesses. I personally love to chat with the vendors and hear about where their product comes from or how they made it. It adds to the hometown feel that I love about Round Rock. And for this, I am thankful for the monthly Round Rock Market Days.
Just a small disclosure here – I am not receiving any financial compensation to tell you what I am thankful for in Round Rock. I am simply telling you about places, objects, & opportunities that have blessed me & my family.
