Water Parks in Round Rock

Rock ‘N River Water Park

Rock ‘N River is back for 2026 — and bigger than ever. The park nearly doubled in size this year with a brand-new Action River, making it the most significant expansion in the park’s history. If you haven’t been in a few years, it’s time to go back.

What’s there: Slides, a sprayground with 51 play features, the Quarry deep water area with a rock wall and dive platform, and the new Action River. Height restrictions apply — 40″ for Splashville slides, 48″ for Lookout slides and Quarry features. Life jackets are available free on-site for the Action River.

Kalahari Resorts & Waterpark

Kalahari is one of Round Rock’s most impressive attractions and a lot of locals still haven’t been. It’s home to America’s largest indoor waterpark — 173,000 square feet of slides, rides, and water features under one roof — plus a seasonal outdoor Savannah Waterpark.

The indoor park is open year-round, which makes it a solid option even when the weather doesn’t cooperate.

City Pools in Round Rock

The City of Round Rock operates three outdoor pools and one year-round indoor pool. These are the most affordable options in town.

Micki Krebsbach Pool

The fan favorite. Micki Krebsbach has a 26-foot pirate ship with water cannons, a crate walk, and two slides — plus a large water slide for guests 48″ and taller. There’s also a lane reserved for lap swim during all rec swim hours.

Lake Creek Pool

The most affordable pool in Round Rock. No frills, just a good community pool at a price that’s hard to beat.

Clay Madsen Recreation Center — Indoor Pool

The only year-round indoor pool in Round Rock. Clay Madsen is a 55,000 sq ft rec center with a 6-lane, 25-yard lap pool, plus a full gym, racquetball courts, and more. The pool opens 30 minutes after the facility opens and closes 30 minutes before closing.

The CHASCO Family YMCA has some of the most impressive pool facilities in Round Rock, and they’re open to the community with a day pass — no membership required.

Free Splash Pads in Round Rock

All three splash pads below are free and open to the public.

Prete Plaza Fountain — Downtown Round Rock

Right in the heart of downtown. The fountain is open most of the year (not just summer) and is a great excuse to make a day of it on Main Street — grab lunch or dinner while you’re there.

Hours: Typically 7:30 am–10:00 pm. May close during holidays or special downtown events.

Old Settlers Park Splash Pad

Inside the massive 645-acre Old Settlers Park, right next to Rock ‘N River. A great free option if some of your group is doing the water park and others aren’t — or if you want to cool off without buying a ticket.

Hours: Seasonal — typically Memorial Day through Labor Day, 9 am daily. Confirm at roundrocktexas.gov.

Paloma Lake Splash Pad

A hidden gem. Small, shaded, and perfect for toddlers. If your kids get overwhelmed by bigger venues, this is the move.

Location: Paloma Lake neighborhood, Round Rock (near Paloma Lake Park)
Hours: Seasonal — typically 9 am daily during summer months. Check local signage.
Cost: Free


Tips Before You Go

  • Swim attire matters. Proper swimwear is required at all city pools. Athletic shorts worn over underwear are not allowed.
  • Beat the crowd. The 1–3 pm window is peak busy time. Arrive at opening or go during twilight hours at Rock ‘N River for half-price admission.
  • Little ones. Children 6 & under must stay within arm’s reach of a parent or guardian at all city pools at all times.
  • Hours change. City pool hours vary week to week and close for holidays. Always check the city website before you head out.
  • Celebrate here. Birthday parties and group rentals are available at Rock ‘N River, Micki Krebsbach, and Clay Madsen. Call ahead to book.
  • No glass. No glass containers or alcohol at any city pool or water park.

Scott Mentzer Pool — Pflugerville

A full-featured community pool with water slides, a lazy river, and spray areas. One of the best deals in the area.

Quarry Splash Pad — Leander (Williamson County Regional Park)

A two-acre splash pad with water cannons, waterfalls, and water jets, plus a sand play area. One of the best splash pads in the region and absolutely worth the short drive.

Brushy Creek Lake Park Water Playscape — Cedar Park

Jets and pipes spray water from every direction — you will get wet. Located inside a beautiful 105-acre park on the lake.

Glenwood Splash Pad — Hutto

A 25-foot diameter splash pad with ground and raised spray features. Small but solid, and totally free.

Falcon Pointe Splash Park — Pflugerville

A kid-powered splash pad — kids push a button to activate the water. Great for younger kids who love that element of control.

Garey Park Splash Pad — Georgetown

A 7,000 sq ft splash pad with 28 motion-activated water features inside one of Georgetown’s most beautiful parks. Note: the splash pad underwent renovations in early 2026 — confirm it’s open before heading out.
