Allyson Whipple directs the Austin Feminist Poetry Festival and serves as vice president of Austin Poetry Society. Her chapbook “We’re Smaller Than We Think We Are” was published by Finishing Line Press. She is co-editor of the 2016 Texas Poetry Calendar and teaches at ACC.
Debra Winegarten writes biographies of Texas women for middle-school students and award-winning poetry. Her chapbook, “There’s Jews in Texas?” won the 2011 Poetica Publishing national chapbook contest. Her biography on Oveta Culp Hobby just won the 2015 Biography award from the Texas Association of Authors.
