KEYNOTE: Dr. Stephany Cuevas, a first-generation college student and graduate of the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Dr. Cuevas uses humor and shares her personal experience as a first-generation college student from inner-city Los Angeles to explain how harnessing the power of family partnership help students prepare for college.

When parents and educators partner together, student success rates rapidly increase. Studies show students with engaged families, earn higher grades and test scores, enroll in higher-level programs, adapt better to school and earn higher grades, graduate and go on to higher education.
