Nutty Brown Cafe Move Delayed Until 2018
The Nutty Brown Cafe’ announced on Wednesday that the play to move to Round Rock would be delayed a year. They plan to “present the best in live music from it’s original location on Highway 290 near Dripping Springs for one more year.”
The Nutty Brown Cafe & Amphitheater is currently booking it’s 2017 concert lineup now and will plan to unveil the season in February 2017.
Presently, it is situated on 25 acres of a 65-acre tract that was purchased by the H-E-B Corporation in 2015. Though there are no plans as of yet for these 25 acres, the Nutty Brown Cafe announced their plans to move to Round Rock’s McNeil Park along Interstate 35 in 2015.
The new Nutty Brown location will have a significantly larger capacity than the original, as well as a larger variety of seating options, even air conditioned VIP seating boxes. Because the new location will hold up to 6,000, this attracts a larger group of performers as well. It’s the design as well as several new additions that has prompted the delay in the move.
