5 Questions with My Party Palace’s Michelle Azuara

In an effort to get to know more about the people who make Round Rock such a great place to live, I am resurrecting a series I did years ago called “5 Questions With….” As I did in the past, I will be asking a few questions of interesting people of Round Rock – people who work hard behind the scenes, people who strive to make our city great, people who make fun events & places possible in our city, and just cool folks you need to know.

But I wanted to take it a step further and reach out to as many businesses owners in Round Rock as I can. I want to catch up with them to learn how their business is doing under these conditions. And see if & how we can help keep them in businesses. I think you will be happy to hear some of the unique ways that businesses have adapted to the changes or are making plans to offer new products and services once they do open.

I love unique businesses. And Round Rock has many unique, precious businesses that are made just for kids. My Party Palace is just the place – the perfect location to host a sweet birthday party for your princesses.

When we fist moved here, my daughter was the perfect age for a party at My Party Palace. I remember being so impressed with what a great business concept it was.

Through the years, I have had the privilege of seeing the heart of the owner of My Party Palace. Michelle Azuara is one of the most kind & generous women I have ever met. She is so supportive of people – always reaching out to help. And she truly loves all her clients. I know it has been heart breaking for her to have to have her doors closed right now.

Yet, she is still finding a way to connect to her clients and bring a smile to everyone’s face – read on:

What is My Party Palace?

My Party Palace celebrated 15 years in March!

What is the status of your business now?

What do you miss most about your business?

I miss the celebrations and smiles. Every birthday girl, her family and her friends quickly become family to us! I also miss the girls who work for me! I love those girls like they were my own.

What are the plans for the future for My Party Palace?

At the moment we aren’t able to host parties or do anything to generate income so we’ve been doing story time with Belle and the Princesses (Each Wednesday at 4PM on their Facebook Page!) and coming up with new ideas and party packages.

What has been a few of your favorite “at-home” activities during this time?

I’ve really enjoyed spending time with my daughter who is a Senior at RRHS and watching her host Story time with Belle.

Bonus – what’s the first thing you will do once the Stay-at-Home mandate is lifted?

The first thing I will do is grab my family and visit my family in Houston! My parents, in laws and 99 year old grandmother (the whole family) live in the Houston area! I’m such a hugger – I NEED HUGS!
