The Round Rock ISD Board of Trustees approved the academic calendars for 2021-2022 back in February.
Texas public schools are required by law to start following the fourth Monday in August. Since Round Rock ISD has been accepted as a District of Innovation, the District may not begin instruction for students for a school year before the second Monday in August.
The calendar committee, comprised of District and campus administrators and teachers, as well as elementary and secondary parents, designed the calendars in alignment with the most recent calendars and with consideration of feedback provided by community members.
