Special Events the Round Rock Public Library This Week
It’s gaming week at the Round Rock Public Library. Elementary students, come to the library to play a variety of games with friends. Monday afternoons the Library hosts a rotating set of activities at Rockin’ Kids Club: Game On!
Join the Library for Tween Lego Robotics in Meeting Room A to build and explore with LEGO® WeDo robotic kits. Participants will build their own moving, sensing, responding wild zoo complete with a hungry alligator, roaring lion, and flying birds.
Poets (ages 16 to adult) can share their work at our family-friendly poetry event Poetry in Motion: Open Mic Event on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020.
Come prepared to read or just to listen to some of our local talent. Hosted by Nadine Flowers and E.B. Staples.
Round Rock ISD Special Events This Week
Round Rock ISD is hosting a Parent & Family Seminar entitled Study Skills : Organization & Note-taking on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Round Rock High School, Old Cafeteria #700 Building. Advance registration is required.
Round Rock ISD families with children in pre-kindergarten through grade 12 are invited to attend the District’s Summer Enrichment Fair. This is a FREE event.The event will be hosted in the cafeteria at Walsh Middle School and will feature local and regional academic and fine arts vendors showcasing summer programs. Vendors will share information on pricing and program dates. Interactive activities will be available for students at some vendor tables. Drawings will also occur throughout the day with prizes including camp vouchers.
Round Rock ISD is hosting the RRISD Gifted & Advanced Academics Parent Conference on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Walsh Middle School. This conference for both parents of students who are receiving gifted services, as well as high potential learners who are seeking advanced academic opportunities.
Cedar Ridge High School presents Legally Blonde: The Musical
Cedar Ridge High School presents Legally Blonde: The Musical from January 29 – February 1, 2020. Legally Blonde is an upbeat musical comedy based on the adored 2001 film starring Reese Witherspoon. Action-packed and exploding with memorable songs and dynamic dances – this musical is so much fun, it should be illegal!
Round Rock High School presents Tarzan: The Musical
Round Rock High School presents Tarzan: The Musical from January 29 – February 1, 2020 at Stony Point High School Performing Arts Center. Tarzan is a powerhouse of a musical. Based on Disney’s epic animated musical adventure and Edgar Rice Burrough’s Tarzan of the Apes, Tarzan features heart-pumping music by rock legend, Phil Collins, and a book by Tony Award-winning playwright, David Henry Hwang. High-flying excitement and hits make Tarzan an unforgettable theatrical experience.
